Declaration of Cuba’s solidarity with the President of Brazil against Israel
The Cuban president supported his Brazilian counterpart against the shameless statements of the Israeli authorities. |
Cuban President Miguel Diaz-Canel expressed his solidarity with Brazilian President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva, who was declared a persona non grata in Israel due to his condemnation of Israel’s military operations in Gaza.
Díaz-Canel praised Lula’s courage and said he “encourages and admires” her courage. The Cuban president said: You will always be on the right side of history.
On February 18, Lula drew a parallel between Israel’s bombing of Gaza and the crimes of Nazi Germany. “What is happening in the Gaza Strip is not a war, it is a genocide,” Lula told reporters in Addis Ababa, where he attended the African Union summit. This is not a war of soldiers against soldiers. This war is between a highly prepared army and women and children.
The President of Brazil continued: What is happening in the Gaza Strip with the Palestinian people has not happened in any other phase of history. In fact, this happened when Hitler decided to kill the Jews.
This is one of the harshest statements of the leftist president of Brazil regarding the Israeli war against Gaza since it began on October 7.
Earlier, Evo Morales, the former president of Bolivia, announced that the Zionist regime called the president of Brazil an undesirable element, not only not a disgrace, but an honor and an advantage.
