Biden questioned Trump’s mental health

“Joe Biden”, the President of the United States in a speech at a gathering in Washington D.C. Joe Biden tried to reject the criticism of his poor memory and confusion in front of the public and instead focused on the gaffes that the 77-year-old Trump also had in front of the public.

Biden, 81, said: “Don’t tell him that, he thinks he’s running against Barack Obama, that’s what he said.” The US president also quipped that he apparently stays up long after his bedtime.

This is Biden’s first participation in this dinner during his presidency, while at the same time, the competition between him and Trump is intensifying with the confirmation of their nominations for both the Democratic and Republican parties in the 2024 presidential election.

Biden, on the other hand, said that if Trump returns to the White House again, there will be a real threat to American democracy.

He said: “We are living in an unprecedented time in the history of democracy. Democracy and freedom are practically under attack. Putin (President of Russia) is advancing in Europe. The president bows before me and tells him to do whatever he wants.”

Biden then pointed to Oksana Markarova, the ambassador of Ukraine and Kaya Kalas, the prime minister of Estonia and said: “We will not bow down. They will not bow and I will not bow.”

According to Politico, Biden brought his daughter Ashley with him at this dinner, where no photographers or videographers were allowed to attend.

Politicians and important people in Washington, including Kamala Harris, the vice president of the United States and her husband Douglas Emhoff, at least eight other members of the cabinet, at least five congressmen, five governors and at least five ambassadors attended this ceremony. “Leo Varadkar”, the Prime Minister of Ireland was also present there.
