Israel’s attack on the Iranian consulate was cruel and illegal
Referring to the cruelty of the Zionist regime's attack on the Iranian consulate in Damascus, the Russian ambassador in Tehran said: This action is a new phenomenon that must be carefully analyzed. |
Mehr News, International Group: On Monday, April 13, 1403, the F-35 fighters belonging to the Israeli Air Force entered the sky of the occupied Golan with six missiles guided by the Iranian Consulate building. They targeted Damascus.
This terrorist act has been widely reflected in all international and media circles of the world and is considered a gross violation of international regulations, especially the 1961 Vienna Convention on Diplomatic Relations.
In this connection, mehr reporter conducted an interview with “Alexei Dedov >” the Russian ambassador in Tehran has done that you are reading;
How do you evaluate Israel’s action in attacking the Iranian consulate in Damascus from the point of view of international law? Do?
Russia firmly condemns Israel’s attacks on Syria. We consider these actions to be a gross violation of the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Syria. We also consider any tampering with diplomatic and consular places, whose immunity is guaranteed by the Vienna Conventions, to be completely unacceptable.
The deliberate attack of the armed forces of one of the parties on the diplomatic headquarters of another country in the territory of a third country, which leads to the killing of officials, is a qualitatively new phenomenon that must be be carefully analyzed, including from the point of view of international law.
What could be the reasons for this action? After Israel’s failure in the Gaza Strip and the 6-month genocide of the Palestinian people, to what extent has this action been done with the intention of inciting public opinion?
It is difficult to explain the reasons for this action logically. By destroying the consulate building, which is under diplomatic immunity, the Israeli military blackmails not only itself, but also its government in the eyes of the international public opinion. In this context, we should also mention the recent Israeli military attack that killed the employees of the World Central Kitchen NGO in Gaza, including Australian, British and Polish citizens. Such actions open the eyes of more people to the nature of Israel’s activities in the Middle East and reduce its support even among allied countries.
Do you see a connection between this illegal act and the internal problems of the Israeli regime?
In my opinion, this type of cruel and completely illegal actions only aggravates the internal and external problems of Israel.
