In the midst of regional tensions, the President of Belarus announced that the country has enacted laws that will improve its defense readiness and military strength.

Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko has announced that his country is preparing for war as tensions rise amid the ongoing conflict in Ukraine. The move underscores Lukashenko’s close alliance with Russian President Vladimir Putin and Belarus’ role as Russia’s key ally amid geopolitical tensions.

Meanwhile, neighboring NATO and EU countries such as Poland and Lithuania have responded to Belarus’ actions by strengthening their borders, including trenches and anti-tank barriers.
