Israel claimed: Hamas is not interested in a ceasefire

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's office claimed on Sunday that Hamas rejected last week's ceasefire offer and is not interested in reaching an agreement.

Netanyahu’s office wrote in a series of messages on X: Rejecting the proposal of the three mediators who had the most flexibility with Israel proves that [Yahya] Senwar does not want a humanitarian deal and the return of prisoners and continues to abuse the tension. Israel will continue its efforts to achieve the goals of the war with Hamas with full force. He leaves no stone unturned to immediately return 133 prisoners from Gaza.

Earlier, Hamas insisted it would not be able to find all the prisoners before a cease-fire agreement, accusing Netanyahu of doing “everything possible to undermine any chance” of a ceasefire deal. The head of political and international relations of Hamas criticized Netanyahu’s policies to block any ceasefire agreement.

Recently, the head of the American CIA proposed a prisoner exchange, in exchange for the release of 900 Palestinian prisoners and 40 Israeli prisoners, provided that the Palestinian prisoners are deported to another country and are not allowed to return to their homes in the Gaza Strip. .

This unilateral American plan, which provided the interests of the Zionist regime and did not lead to any concessions for Hamas, was rejected by Hamas.
