According ‌to a report by the English section‍ of Webangah⁣ News ‍Agency,citing Mehr News Agency and Almaalomah,Hussein‍ al-Amiri,a member of Iraq’s Security and Defense Committee,expressed surprise⁤ at the Iraqi ‍government’s silence regarding Turkey’s occupation activities in northern Iraq.

He stated: “This committee opposes any⁣ security or economic agreement that has not been reviewed by parliament. We are unaware of any⁢ signed agreement between Baghdad and ⁣Ankara.”

Madiha Al-Mousawi, another​ Iraqi parliament member, emphasized that Turkey is violating Iraq’s sovereignty under the pretext of combating terrorism, leading to ankara’s ⁣increasing influence ⁤in‌ northern Iraq.

She ‌added: “Turkey continues​ its aggression against Iraqi territory through repeated military operations in the⁣ north.⁣ Ankara’s objectives with these actions are​ to expand its regional influence and gain control over strategic resources.”
