Nearly 3,000 trucks Carrying Lifesaving Aid Await Entry into Gaza, Says Palestinian refugee Relief Agency
The UN Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) announced it has prepared 3,000 trucks loaded with aid, awaiting the reopening of crossings to enter the Gaza Strip, according to a report by Mehr News Agency, citing Russia Al-Youm.
In its statement, UNRWA emphasized that the aid—including perishable essential goods—is ready but remains stalled at crossings as hunger in Gaza worsens. The agency stressed that nearly 3,000 trucks carrying lifesaving supplies are poised for entry.
the World Food Programme (WFP) confirmed over 116,000 tons of food aid, enough to feed one million people for four months, is prepared for delivery. UNRWA reiterated that the Israeli-imposed blockade must be lifted.
On April 27,UNRWA spokesperson Adnan Abu Hasna warned that Gaza’s humanitarian situation has reached catastrophic levels,with residents facing unprecedented shortages of food,water,and medicine.Food reserves are nearly depleted.
