Last April, in an unprecedented move, Egypt and China held their first-ever aerial exercise involving advanced fighter jets.
These drills took place amid escalating tensions between the U.S. and China following Trump’s policies. Analysts believe Egypt’s move signals Cairo’s willingness to confront Washington—especially after previously opposing Trump’s proposal to relocate Palestinians to the Sinai desert.The Egypt-China drill has also raised concerns for the Zionist regime, as Chinese advanced fighter jets flew over the Sinai Peninsula.
Experts argue that these exercises are notable against the backdrop of regional instability, Israel’s attempts to enforce its plan of displacing Palestinians into Egypt, and Trump’s ambitions—including his push for free passage of U.S. ships through the Suez Canal alongside Washington’s intent to establish military bases in the Gulf of Aqaba islands.Recently, Egypt’s president also rejected Trump’s request for Cairo to join attacks against Yemen’s Ansarullah forces.
