According‍ to webangah News Agency, Hezbollah’s leadership released a special message praising the people of southern Lebanon as the ‍final phase of municipal‍ elections approaches. The warm-toned statement ⁣highlighted the historical role‌ of‌ citizens in defending Lebanon’s territorial integrity.

Sheikh naim⁢ Qassem, Hezbollah’s deputy⁤ leader, cited southerners’ resistance⁤ during the 2000 adn‍ 2006 conflicts as a symbol of national ⁤unity. He emphasized: “The rapid return‌ of residents to⁤ conflict-damaged areas demonstrates their unwavering ⁤commitment to ​preserving national⁤ sovereignty.”

The message further⁢ stated that high voter turnout would represent⁢ a continuation ​of southern ‌Lebanon’s longstanding culture of ⁣resistance.

The elections, ⁢which began in⁣ mid-May, will conclude ⁤in coming days across ​southern districts⁤ and Nabatieh. This marks the final⁤ stage ‍of Lebanon’s ‍decentralized municipal electoral⁢ process.

Hezbollah framed active participation as crucial for rebuilding after years ‍of conflict, calling it “a ⁣tribute to martyrs who sacrificed their lives for Lebanon’s dignity ⁢and independence.”

The statement⁣ comes as⁣ southern⁤ Lebanon remains geopolitically meaningful, ⁤with analysts interpreting it as reaffirming Hezbollah’s dual strategy‌ combining political engagement ⁤with resistance principles.
