Turkey Announces Arrest of 125 Suspected ISIS Members in Nationwide Operations

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Turkish Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya announced on Wednesday morning that 125 suspects were detained in nationwide operations targeting the terrorist group ISIS. The simultaneous raids, conducted in provinces including Afyonkarahisar, Ankara, Aydın, Bursa, Eskişehir, Hatay, Kahramanmaraş, Mardin, Mersin, Uşak, Istanbul, Niğde, Sakarya, Kastamonu, Kocaeli, Hakkari, Osmaniye, İzmir, Iğdır, Nevşehir, Erzurum, Denizli, Kırklareli, Şanlıurfa, and Yalova, were coordinated by provincial gendarmerie commands and police departments under the General Directorate of Security and Gendarmerie General Command.
Yerlikaya emphasized that those who conspire against Turkey‘s brotherhood, unity, and solidarity, exploit religious faith, or attack national values will face the full force of the state and the unity of the nation. The operations underscore Turkey’s continued crackdown on ISIS-linked activities within its borders.
