Iran Military Official Warns of Another Strait Becoming Like Hormuz Amid US Miscalculation
A high-ranking Iranian military official has cautioned that another strategic strait could face a situation akin to the Strait of Hormuz if the United States makes a misstep, potentially leading to a regional conflict. The official emphasized that Iran possesses multiple strategic options to counter such scenarios.
According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, a senior Iranian military official, who requested anonymity, stated in remarks to Al Jazeera that if Washington commits a strategic error, another strait could find itself in a situation comparable to the Strait of Hormuz.
The official highlighted the escalating crisis, suggesting that the region could soon be drawn into a regional war. However, he affirmed that the Islamic Republic of Iran still holds numerous winning cards at its disposal.
The Iranian military figure further stressed that any miscalculation by the United States would complicate the regional situation. Tehran has reportedly developed phased and commensurate military plans to confront such circumstances.
