Turkey: Iran Nuclear Deal Closer Than Ever, Hormuz Strait Opening Top Priority

Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan announced that a deal between the United States and Iran is closer than ever, while emphasizing that opening the Strait of Hormuz holds a higher priority for Turkey than Iran’s nuclear program.

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan has stated that the international consequences of closing the Strait of Hormuz, particularly concerning energy and food security, would be significant.

Fidan further elaborated that the reopening of the Strait of Hormuz is a higher priority for Turkey than Iran’s nuclear program.

He indicated that reaching an agreement between the United States and Iran is closer than at any previous point.

In an interview with Japan’s Nikkei Asia newspaper, the Turkish Foreign Minister expressed Turkey’s interest in collaborating with Japan on drone development and production.
