Israeli Forces Intensify West Bank Raids, Detain Freed Prisoners

Israeli forces launched coordinated raids across multiple areas of the West Bank early today, detaining several Palestinians, including individuals previously released from Israeli prisons.

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Israeli military forces conducted simultaneous raids in various parts of the West Bank on Tuesday morning, apprehending a number of Palestinians. The operation, reported by Al Mayadeen and published by Mehr News Agency, saw soldiers arrest two young men from the town of Beit Fajr in the Bethlehem governorate. The forces also raided the town of Al-Khader and the village of Artas as part of the same operation.

In the northern part of Tulkarm, Israeli soldiers detained five Palestinians from the towns of Allar and Saida. Notably, three of those detained were identified as freed Palestinian prisoners. Local sources reported that Israeli soldiers stormed and searched several homes in Allar, causing damage to their contents. During these raids, Israeli forces arrested Ahmad Rafiq Hussein, Khalid Muwaffaq Said Asrawi, and As’ad Ziad Mithqal Shadid, with the latter two being among the freed prisoners. Additionally, Luay Sati Muhammad Al-Ashqar, another freed Palestinian, was apprehended after his home in Saida was raided.

In the Jenin governorate, Israeli soldiers detained a young man in the town of Maythulun, located south of the city. Concurrently, Israeli forces also attacked the town of Maythulun in southern Jenin and the village of Rihya in southern Hebron. In Maythulun, Ayman Dahoud Rab’ie was detained after his home was raided.

Local sources also reported renewed incursions by Israeli forces into the Al-Aroub refugee camp north of Hebron, the Al-Fawwar refugee camp south of Hebron, the Aqabat Jabr refugee camp in Jericho, and the city of Nablus from the direction of the Huwara checkpoint. Furthermore, Israeli military vehicles entered the “Beir Qouze” area in the town of Beita, south of Nablus. During this incursion, Israeli soldiers severely assaulted a young man from the area, who was subsequently transported to a hospital.

These raids are part of nearly daily operations by occupation forces in several cities and towns across the West Bank, which include arrests, home invasions, assaults on citizens, and property destruction.
