CIA Halts Intelligence Sharing on Iran Amid US Security Apparatus Friction

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Reuters, citing informed sources, reported that the U.S. Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) has ceased intelligence exchange with the Office of the Director of National Intelligence concerning Iran.
The CIA announced that amidst disagreements over the division of responsibilities and information exchange, it has halted participation in specific intelligence assessments, including those related to potential conflict with Iran. The agency stated that the ongoing dispute with the ODNI, which has persisted for over a year, is disrupting joint national security analyses that U.S. presidents have long relied upon.
Informed sources indicated that the CIA and the ODNI are operating independently. The CIA emphasized that the disagreements between the two entities commenced in February of the previous year.
The Washington Post had previously highlighted significant discord between the CIA and the ODNI during the current presidential term of Donald Trump. Earlier, John Ratcliffe had resigned as Director of National Intelligence. Ratcliffe’s stance during a congressional hearing in March contrasted with Trump’s assertion that Iran posed an ‘imminent threat’ prior to U.S. and Israeli attacks.
Trump had previously alluded to differences with Ratcliffe regarding their approaches to Iran, stating in March that Ratcliffe was exhibiting greater leniency towards Tehran.
