Hezbollah Opposes Lebanese Government’s Deal with Israel

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Hezbollah has informed the Lebanese government of its opposition to the U.S.-brokered agreement between Lebanon and Israel. An official from the movement stated in an interview with Alaraby television network that Hezbollah stands against any ceasefire accord with Israel. This development follows reports from Israeli Channel 15, citing the French News Agency, which also highlighted Hezbollah’s rejection of a ceasefire agreement with Israel. The news emerges as the fourth round of negotiations between Lebanon and Israel concluded in Washington, according to an ABC News report from the previous day. Axios, citing informed sources, indicated that Lebanon and Israel had reached an understanding on a comprehensive ceasefire plan, contingent upon specific actions by Hezbollah. The U.S. Department of State has claimed that an agreement on a ceasefire between Lebanon and Israel was reached with Washington’s mediation.
