West’s Silence Normalizes Nuclear Facility Attacks, Says Ulyanov

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Mikhail Ulyanov, Russia’s permanent representative to the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), asserted at a meeting of the IAEA Board of Governors that Western countries have attempted to ignore attacks on Iran’s nuclear infrastructure, including the Bushehr Nuclear Power Plant and the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant, over the past year. Ulyanov believes this stance has escalated the dangerous trend of attacks on nuclear facilities in the 21st century.
Meanwhile, Iran’s Atomic Energy Organization announced that following a recent attack, a projectile fell near the Bushehr power plant. The resulting blast wave and shrapnel damaged an ancillary building, and one security personnel was martyred. The organization confirmed, however, that the main sections of the plant sustained no damage and its operations continue uninterrupted.
According to the Iranian organization, this marks the fourth attack on the Bushehr power plant during the recent imposed war. Any serious damage to these facilities, due to the presence of radioactive materials, could have severe repercussions for the region.
