US Energy Secretary: Lowering Fuel Prices Requires Deal with Iran

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, U.S. Energy Secretary Chris Wright acknowledged that lowering gasoline and fuel prices in the country will ultimately require a deal with Iran. He added that more oil must be transported through the Strait of Hormuz to decrease fuel prices in the United States.
This statement comes amid ongoing efforts by U.S. President Donald Trump to project an image of the country being insulated from the repercussions of disruptions in the Strait of Hormuz and potential escalations against Iran. However, research from Brown University indicates that each American household has paid an additional $190 for gasoline since the conflict began, with the heaviest burden falling on lower-income households.
