Lebanese Army Chief Denounces Israeli Attack as Clear Sovereignty Violation

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, General Joseph Aoun, the Commander of the Lebanese Army, has vehemently condemned the Israeli regime’s assault on a Lebanese army patrol on the Al-Khardali-Nabatieh road. The attack tragically led to the martyrdom of two officers and one soldier, adding to the list of military personnel, civilians, children, women, medics, rescuers, and journalists who have sacrificed their lives, irrigating the precious soil of the south with their pure blood.
Aoun emphasized that this aggression constitutes a clear violation of Lebanese sovereignty, international laws, and customs. He noted that the incident occurred within the context of escalating tensions, posing a threat to stability and security in southern Lebanon.
The Lebanese Army Commander extended his heartfelt condolences to the army command and the families of the martyrs. He expressed gratitude for the sacrifices of the two martyred soldiers and other military personnel who shed their blood for the nation and its sovereignty.
He affirmed that Lebanon will not falter in protecting its land and people, and these aggressions will not deter its commitment to its full national rights.
Aoun urged the international community to assume its responsibilities, put an end to these repeated aggressions, and ensure respect for relevant international resolutions to preserve the security and stability of Lebanon.
