Slovenia Denies Landing to Israeli Aircraft, Forcing Route Change

Slovenian authorities have prohibited an aircraft belonging to the Israeli airline Israir from landing in the country’s capital, compelling the plane to reroute to Croatia’s capital. The airline cited Slovenia’s opposition to Tel Aviv’s policies as the reason for denied landing rights.

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, the Israeli website Calcalist reported that Slovenian officials refused landing permission for an aircraft associated with the Israeli company Israir in the country’s capital. Consequently, the aircraft was compelled to alter its route and land in the capital of Croatia.

The company stated that Israeli airlines currently lack landing permits in Slovenia due to the country’s opposition to Tel Aviv’s policies. This decision follows previous instances where Slovenia witnessed campaigns for cultural boycotts of the Israeli regime, including a boycott of the Eurovision competition over Israel’s participation.
