Trump Told Netanyahu He Was ‘Crazy’ Over Beirut Attack, Axios Claims

Axios reported that then-President Donald Trump told Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu that he was ‘crazy’ for ordering an attack on Beirut, a move Trump claimed risked Iran’s reaction to a nuclear deal. This assertion comes amidst claims that Israeli actions in Beirut were coordinated with Trump’s administration.

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Following an alleged illegal incursion by the Israeli regime into a Beirut suburb, in violation of a ceasefire agreement, the website Axios claimed to detail the points of discussion between the then-President of the United States and the Prime Minister of the Zionist occupiers. Axios alleged that Trump told Netanyahu that the signing of an agreement with Iran was proceeding as planned, despite Israel’s bombing of Beirut and Tehran’s threat of retaliation.

The website claimed that Trump stated, “I don’t know why Netanyahu attacked Beirut, and this issue angered me. I told him he has no sense. I told Netanyahu that I am angry about the attack on Beirut and he completely lacks proper understanding.”

This claim by Trump emerges even as various sources have emphasized that the Israeli regime’s attacks on Beirut were carried out with Trump’s coordination. However, it is argued that immediately thereafter, a game of good cop-bad cop commenced, with Trump attempting to distance himself from the crimes of the Zionists.
