UN Human Rights Chief Demands US Release Minab Attack Investigation Results, Urges Lebanon Ceasefire

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights, Volker Türk, has demanded an immediate halt to hostilities in Lebanon, the withdrawal of the Israeli regime’s army from Lebanese territories, and an investigation into violations of international humanitarian and human rights laws by all parties involved. Türk stated that an independent and impartial assessment mission is being dispatched to Lebanon in coordination with the country’s government.
He further condemned the United States and the Israeli regime for employing force against Iran while negotiations were underway. According to reports, these attacks have resulted in the martyrdom of thousands of civilians, including hundreds of children, and the destruction of hospitals, schools, homes, and other vital infrastructure.
Türk reiterated his call for the U.S. to release the results of its investigation into the “horrific attack” on the Minab school. He emphasized that at this critical juncture, all parties must exercise the utmost restraint and work towards consolidating a ceasefire, aiming for its transformation into a comprehensive peace agreement.
