Hezbollah Denounces Israeli Drone Activity Over Beirut, Cites Iran-US Agreement

Lebanese sources reported Israeli drones flying over Beirut and its southern suburbs, prompting a denouncement from Hezbollah which stated its operations have ceased following the Iran-US agreement and that it opposes all Israeli military movements in Lebanon.

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Lebanese sources have reported the overflight of Israeli drones above Beirut and its southern suburb of Dahiya, though further details remain scarce.

Hezbollah has expressed strong opposition to these Israeli movements, with a Hezbollah official stating to Reuters that the party has not conducted any operations since the announcement of an agreement between Iran and the United States. The official emphasized that Hezbollah unequivocally opposes and will not tolerate the free movement of the Israeli enemy within Lebanon.

In parallel, Israeli media outlets have reported on the activities of the occupation army. The Hebrew newspaper Maariv, citing an Israeli military source, stated that the Israeli army continues its operations in the area designated as the Yellow Line in southern Lebanon. This source indicated that the army has not received any directives regarding a ceasefire in its operational zones in southern Lebanon or concerning the withdrawal of its forces.

Concurrently, Israel’s Channel 12 reported that all military activities by the Israeli army in southern Lebanon, including entering residences suspected of being used as Hezbollah weapons depots, have been halted. A correspondent for Channel 12, quoting Israeli army commanders stationed on the northern border of occupied Palestine, added that any action against Lebanese refugees wishing to return to their villages in southern Lebanon has been prohibited.

These statements come in the wake of an agreement announced the previous night by Pakistan, Iran, and the United States, which is intended to bring an end to hostilities across all fronts, including Lebanon. The accord aims to de-escalate tensions and foster stability in the region.
