Israeli Finance Minister Vows No Withdrawal from Lebanon Amidst Iran-US Agreement

Israeli Finance Minister Betzalel Smotrich has declared that Israel will not succumb to external pressures and will continue its military operations in Lebanon without concessions, despite a recent agreement between Iran and the United States that reportedly includes Lebanon.

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Israeli Finance Minister Betzalel Smotrich stated that Israel will not retreat from its military activities in Lebanon, asserting the nation’s refusal to yield to foreign demands and pressures. Smotrich’s remarks came in response to an agreement between Iran and the United States, which has also been reported to involve Lebanon.

Addressing the timing of the agreement’s signing on Friday, Smotrich emphasized, “There will be no withdrawal; not on Friday, nor afterwards.”

This statement follows a warning issued by the Khatam al-Anbiya Central Headquarters. The headquarters alerted against the repeated aggressions by the Zionist regime in southern Lebanon, highlighting 84 ceasefire violations by the regime within two days after the U.S. President declared the end of the war. The headquarters warned that if such provocations continue in Lebanon, the regime should anticipate a severe response from the powerful armed forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
