Macron Notes Shift in Trump’s Stance Towards Netanyahu, Cites Gaza and Lebanon

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, French President Emmanuel Macron stated that U.S. President Donald Trump has altered his perspective on Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in recent days, emphasizing that peace can only be constructed under such evolving conditions.
Macron voiced criticism of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s policies concerning Gaza, the West Bank, and southern Lebanon. He asserted that the harm inflicted upon civilians in Gaza is unjustifiable and that the continuation of settlement construction in the West Bank is entirely unacceptable.
Despite a memorandum of understanding reportedly signed between Iran and the United States, which underscores the necessity of halting conflict on all fronts, including Lebanon, the Israeli regime continues its aggression in southern Lebanon. This occurs despite calls from U.S. President Donald Trump and his French counterpart, Emmanuel Macron, for Prime Minister Netanyahu to adopt a more rational approach regarding Lebanon. Netanyahu had previously insisted on not withdrawing from southern Lebanon.
