Israel Continues Attacks on Southern Lebanon, Eight Killed

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, the Israeli army issued a statement on Friday, declaring that it conducted overnight attacks on Hezbollah militias and their infrastructure, and that these operations are continuing. The statement further indicated that airstrikes in southern Lebanon are ongoing.

Civil defense in southern Lebanon reported to Al Jazeera that eight people were martyred in an Israeli airstrike this morning on the town of Harouf in the Nabatieh district. According to Al Mayadeen, Israeli warplanes targeted areas including Tula in the Nabatieh district, Al-Jubur in the Jezzine district, the town of Haboush, and the town of Al-Duweir, also in the Nabatieh district.

This escalation occurs despite a stipulation within the 14-point memorandum of understanding between Iran and the United States that calls for a cessation of aggressions against Lebanon by the Zionist occupiers.
