Qatar Energy Facility Blast Kills 13, Injures 66

A major explosion at Qatar’s Ras Laffan energy hub has resulted in 13 fatalities and 66 injuries, according to Qatar’s Energy Minister Saad Al-Kaabi. The incident, however, has not impacted the country’s energy production or natural gas exports.
According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Qatar‘s Minister of Energy, Saad Al-Kaabi, has provided details regarding a blast that occurred at the Ras Laffan industrial city the previous night. Al-Kaabi clarified that the incident at Ras Laffan was accidental and not an act of sabotage.
He reported that 13 individuals lost their lives and 66 others sustained injuries as a consequence of the event. The Qatari official emphasized that Qatar Energy’s facilities, the Ras Laffan port, and natural gas exports will not be affected by the fire.
He concluded by stating that there is no environmental risk stemming from the explosion in Ras Laffan.
