Lebanese PM Salam Demands Israeli Withdrawal, Prisoner Release

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Lebanese Prime Minister Nawaf Salam announced his country’s pursuit of a complete withdrawal of Israeli forces from Lebanese land, emphasizing a demand for the release of prisoners. Salam stated that Lebanon does not accept the Israeli occupation of any part of its territory, even just two points. He added that while the outcome of any negotiation is uncertain, the clear objective for Lebanon is the full exit of Israel.
Prime Minister Salam indicated that Lebanon is participating in negotiations in Washington, which he considers the least costly approach for the country. This statement comes amidst the backdrop of ongoing Israeli aggression against Lebanon. He also mentioned an initiative in Switzerland focused on establishing a ceasefire, noting that the path being pursued in Washington differs from this Swiss initiative.
Earlier reports suggested that Iranian insistence on demands for halting the Israeli regime’s crimes in Lebanon led to a reduction in Zionist attacks on Dhahieh and Beirut, with assaults in the south reaching their lowest levels.
