Trump Confronts Netanyahu in Tense Call Over Gaza Deal Obstruction

U.S. President Donald Trump reportedly engaged in a heated phone call with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, strongly criticizing him for hindering a Gaza agreement, according to CNN.

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, the American network CNN has revealed details of a tense phone call between U.S. President Donald Trump and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. This American source claims that Trump severely reprimanded Netanyahu during the call for obstructing progress on a Gaza deal.

CNN reported that the call took place last September and its details are included in a book by Maggie Haberman and Jonathan Swan, two American journalists. According to the journalists, Trump was attempting to broker a deal concerning Gaza at the time but believed Netanyahu was not cooperating sufficiently.

During the conversation, Trump reportedly told Netanyahu, “I’m tired of your behavior. I’ve done everything to support you, and you better move this damn thing forward. Everyone is tired of you.” CNN further reported Trump saying, “All Jews are tired of you; even the Jews on this call are tired of you.” Trump was referring to close advisors Jared Kushner and Steve Witkoff.

CNN added that Trump also presented a list of his controversial decisions made in support of the Israeli regime during his presidency, though he did not elaborate on the specifics of these decisions. Maggie Haberman stated that subsequent tense calls between Trump and Netanyahu also occurred. The American reporter claims this conversation laid the groundwork for the current state of relations between the two leaders and highlighted the significant dissatisfaction within the White House and among advisors like Kushner and Witkoff.

Haberman also identified the Israeli regime’s attack on Qatar as a turning point in the negative perception held by some Trump administration officials toward the Israeli regime’s cabinet. She noted that this attack occurred while the United States was striving to achieve a ceasefire and hostage exchange agreement. In September of last year, the Israeli regime attacked Doha, the capital of Qatar, targeting a delegation from Hamas that was reviewing a U.S. proposal for a Gaza ceasefire and hostage exchange. This attack faced widespread Arab and international condemnation and was described as a violation of Qatar’s sovereignty.

In early June, the Axios website, citing American officials, reported that Trump had chastised Netanyahu in a phone call for escalating military tensions in Lebanon, stating, “If it weren’t for me, you’d be in jail right now.” During that call, Trump expressed dissatisfaction with the rising tensions in Lebanon and suggested that Israel’s actions were undermining the path toward negotiations with Iran.
