Eisenkot: Netanyahu Unfit for Moral Counsel on Unity

Former IDF Chief of Staff and current Knesset member Gadi Eisenkot has stated that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is unfit to preach about unity, citing a decline in the occupied territories and divisive societal actions. Eisenkot previously warned that Lebanon has been a political graveyard for Israeli prime ministers.
According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Gadi Eisenkot, former Chief of Staff of the Israeli army and a current member of the Knesset, addressed Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, stating that a premier who has “blindly lowered us to the lowest historical level” and acts by fueling societal divisions and incitement is not worthy of the residents of the occupied territories and lacks the qualification for moral sermons on unity.
Eisenkot had also published an article in the Yedioth Ahronoth newspaper a few days prior, writing that Lebanon has served as a political graveyard for Israeli prime ministers, from Menachem Begin to Ehud Olmert, and that Netanyahu is currently “sunk up to his neck” in it.
