UK Urges Iran-US Deal Implementation Amid Regional Tensions

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, British Foreign Secretary Yvette Cooper on Sunday issued a statement on the social media platform X, asserting the necessity of implementing the agreement between Iran and the United States. Without condemning repeated U.S. provocations in the region contrary to its understanding with Iran, Cooper claimed: “I condemn the recent attacks on Bahrain, Kuwait, and the Strait of Hormuz. These reckless attacks, including against international shipping, have endangered civilian lives and restricted freedom of navigation.”
The British Foreign Secretary further added that the implementation of the agreement (memorandum of understanding) between Iran and the United States is vital for safeguarding public safety and ensuring the continuity of ship traffic.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran, in a statement referencing the repeated violation of the ceasefire understanding by the United States on the morning of Sunday, June 27, 2026, emphasized that these brutal attacks demonstrate that the U.S. regime places minimal value or credibility on its commitments, and that breach of contract is inherent to the nature of this regime.
