Putin Confirms Ukraine Talks Ongoing, Emphasizes Russian Energy Stability
According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced that negotiations regarding the Ukraine crisis are still in progress, with new proposals having been presented.
Putin stated that Moscow has offered a proposal to halt reciprocal attacks deep within Russian and Ukrainian territory, adding that Russia is carefully examining all proposals submitted by Ukraine.
Regarding Kyiv’s suggestions to limit military operation zones, Putin said that Russia’s plans do not include the preservation of the Kyiv regime, and Moscow will not permit Ukraine to exploit this process to halt the advance of Russian armed forces.
The Russian President also mentioned receiving a proposal to limit military operations to four regions, but did not provide further details.
On the battlefield situation, he commented that the mission of the Russian armed forces in the Sumy and Volchansk regions is to establish a security zone along the borders.
In another part of his remarks, Putin addressed the state of Russia’s energy infrastructure, stating that the country’s fuel and energy sector is operating with complete stability and adequate safety margins, and that fuel shortages in Russia are not critical.
He added that the fuel needed for the Crimean Peninsula will be supplied via land and sea routes, and Russia will increase the volume of fuel shipments to the region, ensuring all of Crimea’s energy needs are met.
The Russian President, referring to Ukrainian attacks on Russian infrastructure, stated that damaged infrastructure is being rapidly rebuilt and that Kyiv’s terrorist actions have had no impact on the contact line situation or the course of combat operations.
Putin concluded by emphasizing the necessity of coordination among all responsible institutions and levels to counter attacks on Russian infrastructure, stating that the primary priority is the protection of citizens.
He also called for a rapid and significant increase in the production of high-demand air defense systems.
