Israel Claims Attackers Fired on Military in Occupied Golan

Israeli media reported an incident where gunfire was directed at Israeli forces in the southern Golan Heights from Syrian territory. The alleged perpetrator reportedly fled the scene, with no immediate reports of arrest or identification.

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Israeli media outlets have reported an alleged shooting incident targeting Israeli military personnel in the occupied Golan Heights. Network 14 Israel stated that the perpetrator of the attack fled the scene after opening fire, and no information regarding their arrest or identification has been released thus far.

Israeli media reported that shots were fired at Israeli army forces in the southern Golan Heights from within Syrian territory. However, further details regarding potential casualties or damage from this incident have not been disclosed.

Earlier on Sunday, Israeli helicopters reportedly targeted the village of Abdeen and its surroundings in the western countryside of Daraa province in southern Syria with machine guns.

The official Syrian News Agency (SANA) reported that a number of residents from Abdeen village were displaced and forced to abandon their homes due to ongoing artillery shelling by Israeli forces.

SANA also reported that Israeli forces shelled the village of Abdeen in the western countryside, while Israeli fighter jets and drones conducted extensive flights over the countrysides of Quneitra and Daraa.

On Friday, the southern Syrian regions of Daraa and Quneitra were the scene of six separate incursions by Israeli forces at various times.
