Major Explosion Rocks Damascus, Syrian Observatory Reports Casualties

A powerful explosion has struck the Syrian capital, Damascus, near the Al-Adli Palace, resulting in fatalities and injuries according to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights.

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, a significant explosion occurred in Damascus, the capital of Syria, earlier today. The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, citing local sources and reported by Al Mayadeen, announced the powerful blast. Residents reported hearing the intense explosion originating from the vicinity of the Al-Adli Palace in central Damascus.

The explosion took place in the electricity market in Damascus, specifically at a cafe adjacent to the Al-Adli Palace, leading to casualties. Internal security forces established a security perimeter around the blast site on Al-Nasr Street, near the Al-Adli Palace.

The Ministry of Health confirmed that 14 individuals were transported to hospitals following the explosion, comprising four fatalities and ten injured. Syrian state television network Al-Ekhbariya reported that the explosion at the cafe near Al-Adli Palace was caused by an explosive device planted at the location.
