Macron Hails Tehran-Washington Understanding as Key Step for Regional Stability

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, based on data published by Mehr News Agency citing Al Jazeera, French President Emmanuel Macron described the signing of a memorandum of understanding between Tehran and Washington as a significant step towards enhancing regional stability and de-escalating tensions.

Macron stated that this understanding could pave the way for increased security and tranquility in the region.

The French president also claimed that France has dispatched specialized demining equipment, including two mine-hunting vessels and two frigates, to the region to participate in guaranteeing maritime security in the Strait of Hormuz.

The French President said the aim of this action is to help maintain the security of maritime traffic in one of the world’s most vital international waterways.
