Iranian Parliament Committee Urges Mass Public Allegiance to Ayatollah Seyyed Mojtaba Khamenei

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, the National Security and Foreign Policy Committee of the Parliament has issued a statement inviting the people to attend the farewell and funeral ceremony of the martyred leader of the Revolution. The committee stressed that through their presence, the people will inscribe a glorious chapter in the history of Islamic Iran and, by renewing their pledge of allegiance to the honorable path of the martyrs and the values of the Islamic Revolution, will establish the greatest public allegiance to the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution.

The text of the statement from the National Security and Foreign Policy Committee of the Islamic Consultative Assembly is as follows:

“In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

Dear and resilient nation of Islamic Iran;

The supreme source of emulation for the Shiite world, the great leader of the Ummah, the standard-bearer of the resistance front, the martyred Imam, His Eminence Ayatollah al-Uzma Seyyed Ali Hosseini Khamenei (may his soul be sanctified) joined the luminous caravan of martyrs in a terrorist crime by the villains of the age at the beginning of the third American-Zionist imposed war. The American and Zionist enemies, through this cruel crime, harbored the futile hope of crushing the will of the faithful, revolutionary, and Ashura-like people of Islamic Iran; but they did not realize that the martyrdom of the martyred Imam would itself become a flame for resistance and guide these people towards victory.

It is the belief of all combatants on the path of truth that just as the blood of Hazrat Seyyed al-Shuhada (peace be upon him) founded the great Ashura civilization, the blood of our esteemed martyred leader, in continuation of the uprising of Aba Abdillah al-Hussein (peace be upon him), will open a new window to global awakening and the sacred unity of the Islamic Ummah, and will instill despair and hopelessness in the hearts of the American and Zionist enemies and their regional and trans-regional supporters and allies.

Now, we stand on the eve of a historic and fateful farewell with the Master of Martyrs of the Islamic Revolution. The magnificent ceremony of farewell and funeral is a great resurrection to renew the pledge of allegiance to pure Islam, the lofty ideals of the Revolution, and the continuation of the path of that martyred leader.

The National Security and Foreign Policy Committee of the Islamic Consultative Assembly invites the valiant and resilient people of Iran and all devoted followers of the path of truth, which in our era is the illuminated path of the Great Imam Khomeini and the martyred Khamenei, a path that will never be extinguished or come to an end, to inscribe a glorious chapter in the history of Islamic Iran with their magnificent presence. By renewing their pledge of allegiance to the honorable path of the martyrs and the values of the Islamic Revolution, they will establish the greatest public allegiance of the people to the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution, His Eminence Ayatollah Seyyed Mojtaba Hosseini Khamenei (may God Almighty protect him).”
