Russia Claims Capture of Five New Settlements in Ukraine

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, the Russian Ministry of Defense issued a statement on Saturday announcing the capture of five new settlements. The statement, citing data published by the Mehr News Agency and quoting RIA Novosti, detailed that Russian Western Forces liberated the settlements of Shiykovka, Novy Mir, Chervoshivka, and Drozholubovka in the Kharkiv region over the past 24 hours. Additionally, the Central Forces liberated the settlement of Vasilyevka in Donetsk.
The Russian Ministry of Defense further reported the interception and destruction of 893 Ukrainian drones, 10 Flamingo long-range cruise missiles, and 9 HIMARS rockets. In a related development, Dmitry Medvedev, Deputy Chairman of Russia’s Security Council, stated that the liberation of the city of Kostiantynivka represents a clear success for the Russian Armed Forces. He described this as a significant step toward the final liberation of Donbas and the achievement of the objectives of Russia’s special military operation.
