China and Russia to Conduct Joint Naval Drills

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, the Chinese Ministry of Defense announced that Beijing and Moscow will conduct joint naval drills this month in proximity to the city of Qingdao, China. The ministry did not specify the exact timing of the joint exercises.

Previously, on June 27, 2024, the Chinese Ministry of Defense had also announced the execution of a joint strategic patrol by Moscow and Beijing over the Sea of Japan and the East China Sea. Chinese state media reported that the air forces of Russia and China completed their eleventh joint strategic aerial patrol over the Sea of Japan, the East China Sea, and the western Pacific Ocean.

The Ministry of Defense of China stated in its announcement that this operation underscores the shared commitment of both nations to maintaining regional peace and stability.
