Iran Exhibits Remarkable Resilience Amidst 40-Day Conflict, Proving Strategic Prowess
According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, renowned Russian author Vladimir Yevseev has offered insights into the 40-day conflict and the martyrdom of Iran‘s Supreme Leader. Yevseev’s commentary, published by the Mehr News Agency, highlights the divergent objectives of the United States and Israel and underscores Iran’s robust response.
Yevseev explained that while Benjamin Netanyahu had convinced Donald Trump of the possibility of regime change in the Islamic Republic of Iran, this perception was detached from reality. Israel’s primary aim was not regime change but rather the maximum possible weakening of Iran, especially given what it perceived as a historic opportunity during Trump’s presidency. A key objective for Israel was the destruction or incapacitation of Iran’s missile infrastructure and the reduction of the resistance axis’s strength.
Fortunately, these objectives were not realized. The Iranian people, inspired by their martyred leader, displayed significant courage and resilience. Months after the conflict’s commencement, the Islamic Republic of Iran has proven its capacity to respond effectively, not only standing its ground but also achieving outcomes interpretable as victories.
Despite facing the world’s most powerful military, which deployed three aircraft carrier strike groups and mobilized nearly half its tactical air power against Iran, the Iranian populace has persevered. There is a prevailing belief that Iran will ultimately achieve results that can be defined as a victory for the Islamic Republic.
Yevseev pointed out that both the United States and Israel possess nuclear weapons. In confronting two nuclear powers armed with the most advanced weaponry, Iran managed to resist due to thorough preparation. The Islamic Republic of Iran had established numerous underground facilities of various types, housing not only missiles but also air defense systems—a remarkable feat.
Reports of Iranian air defense systems successfully targeting American and Israeli aircraft, including F-35, F-18, F-16, and F-15 models, as well as refueling planes, illustrate Iran’s defensive capabilities even under such intense pressure. The initial days were the most challenging, marked by significant casualties sustained by the Iranian people.
In summation, Iran’s preparedness, bolstered by its own capabilities and the support of allied nations, particularly the Russian Federation, has been substantial. These collaborations have demonstrated limitations even for the United States. It is also anticipated that Russia will continue to support the Islamic Republic of Iran and its people during these difficult times.
Supreme Leader Ayatollah Khamenei was martyred during this conflict. He had the option to go into hiding but chose not to, as the people of Iran did not have that recourse.
