The Iraqi Ministry of Transportation announced on Monday that it has deployed 400 buses and 6 trains to manage the movement of attendees for the funeral procession of the martyred leader of Iran, Sayyid Ali Khamenei, within Iraqi territory.
In a statement, the Ministry of Transportation detailed that the Passenger and Delegations Transport Company has dedicated 400 buses to transport citizens participating in the mourning ceremony for the martyred leader of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
Furthermore, the ministry confirmed the allocation of three trains from Baghdad to Karbala and an additional three trains from Basra to Karbala. The statement also indicated that round-trip services could be increased to accommodate demand.
The Ministry of Transportation urged citizens to maintain smooth traffic flow, avoid congestion, and coordinate with relevant authorities regarding private transportation arrangements. The ministry assured that Baghdad and provincial garages will continue their operations, and a high level of organization is planned for the day of the funeral and the subsequent period.
