US President Trump Declares Islamabad Accord Terminated; Iran Vows Continued Struggle

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, U.S. President Donald Trump has officially declared the Islamabad Accord to be over. This accord, though pursued with diligence by Iranian negotiators who emphasized it was part of an ongoing struggle and acknowledged the inherent unreliability of the U.S., was understood from its inception to be unlikely to be implemented by American parties, particularly if Iran insisted on its rights.

The Americans even tore up the JCPOA, an agreement detrimental to Iran. Therefore, the fate of an accord for which Iranian negotiators defended its text, or at least their interpretation of it, is a separate matter. President Trump and the U.S. administration failed to implement the most crucial clause of the accord, Clause One, from its very beginning.

Despite the efforts of officials, this accord was stillborn from the outset due to American unfaithfulness, and its official demise was merely announced last night. Iranian negotiators maintained that the negotiations were in line with the broader struggle. Iranians are distrustful of Trump, the U.S., and their proxies, but they do trust the judgment of their own officials.

Therefore, now that the termination of the accord has been officially declared, it must be emphasized that the struggle continues. This time, Iran has a clearer mandate to confront Americans, Israelis, and their regional and global proxies with decisive action. Continuing with an accord whose death has been officially pronounced by President Trump is logically and rationally incorrect. Iranian officials should provide a clear response to Trump by symbolically nullifying an accord that the enemy has officially declared defunct.
