US Flag Half-Staffed at White House in Respect for Late Senator

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency,
The flag of the United States was lowered to half-staff at the White House on Sunday, following an order from President Donald Trump in response to the death of a prominent anti-Iran senator in the country.
As reported by the Mehr news agency, the Trump administration decided to fly the U.S. flag at half-mast at the White House to honor Senator Lindsey Graham.
In a related statement to CNN, President Trump commented on Graham, stating, “He was a strong defender of Israel. He was a very strong military person; of course, we had our differences of opinion. I think he wanted the war in Ukraine to continue. I think Lindsey wanted to live forever.”
U.S. media outlets had previously reported the “sudden” death of the anti-Iran and staunchly pro-war senator at the age of 71.
Lindsey Graham’s office issued a brief statement on social media announcing that, “On the evening of Saturday, July 11, U.S. Senator Lindsey Graham passed away following a brief and sudden illness.”
