Sana’a: Saudi Arabia Holds Responsibility for Consequences of Yemen Aggression

Officials from Sana’a’s Foreign Ministry have stated that Saudi Arabia bears responsibility for the repercussions of its aggression against Yemen, emphasizing that the ongoing state of neither peace nor war must end. They warned that Yemen’s response will extend beyond the lifting of the Sana’a airport blockade.

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, in remarks to Al Mayadeen, Abdullah Sabri, an official from the Foreign Ministry of the Sana’a government, asserted that the Saudi side is responsible for the consequences of the aggression against Yemen, which has prolonged a state of neither peace nor war. He added that Yemen’s response to Saudi aggressions will not be limited to breaking the siege of Sana’a airport but will encompass a broader framework for lifting the blockade on Yemen and ending the aggressions. Sabri stated that the prolonged period of neither war nor peace has seen Saudi Arabia delaying the realization of the Yemeni people’s rights and the implementation of political solutions. He indicated that the first step towards breaking the siege of Sana’a airport has been taken and will not be the last. Sabri explained that lifting this blockade will be achieved either through military force or political solutions, and the ball is now in Saudi Arabia’s court. He noted that political avenues remain open, provided they do not conflict with the rights of the Yemeni people and do not revert the situation to its previous state. Yesterday, Yemeni armed forces issued a strong warning to all airline companies regarding passage through Saudi airspace. Sana’a announced the implementation of an airport-for-airport and blockade-for-blockade equation. It is noteworthy that Saudi warplanes bombed Sana’a airport on Monday in an attempt to prevent the landing of an Iranian civilian aircraft, an action that ultimately failed.
