White House Claims Iran Seeks Negotiation and Agreement with U.S.

The White House spokesperson asserted that Iran is continuing negotiations with the United States and is inclined towards signing an agreement. This claim comes amid escalating tensions and previous military actions.

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, based on data published by Mehr News Agency, citing Al Jazeera, the White House spokesperson claimed in a press conference in Washington that Iran is continuing negotiations with the United States and is inclined towards signing an agreement.

Caroline Levitt, continuing her assertions and without referencing the heavy losses and casualties resulting from Iranian attacks on American bases in the region, stated: “The recent attacks on Iran were due to Iran’s action in violating the memorandum of understanding. President Trump has proven to the world that we can target Iran anytime and anywhere.”

She added, referring to “President Trump’s belief in the principle of achieving peace through force,” and made a factually inaccurate claim: “President Trump always welcomes diplomatic solutions. The Iranian regime is divided, and a part of it supports signing an agreement.”

Caroline Levitt also claimed, while concealing internal White House disagreements regarding the Iran file, that President Trump’s positions and those of his Vice President on Iran are identical.

The White House official continued her exaggerated statements, adding: “President Trump will not allow Iran to target ships in the Strait of Hormuz without facing consequences. The Strait of Hormuz remains open for ships traveling to or from destinations other than Iran.”
