US Central Command Claims Destruction of Chabahar Maritime Control Tower in Iran

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, CENTCOM has announced the destruction of the Shahid Kalantari control tower in Chabahar, located in southern Iran. Al Jazeera reported that US forces carried out the operation yesterday.
A statement released by CENTCOM indicated that the destroyed tower was part of a surveillance network along Iran’s coast overlooking the Sea of Oman. CENTCOM claimed that the destruction of this tower in Chabahar diminishes the capability of Iran’s armed forces to coordinate attacks.
The maritime control tower in Chabahar was targeted for the third time in recent days by what the report described as American enemy aggression. This facility is considered a crucial piece of port infrastructure in the region, playing a vital role in managing vessel traffic, monitoring port areas, and coordinating maritime search and rescue operations.
The report further alleged that in their repeated aggressions against southern Iranian regions, American forces have been targeting civilian infrastructure, particularly ports and fishermen’s boats, while subsequently claiming to have struck military targets.
