Gasoline Prices Surge in US Amidst Hormuz Strait Tensions

Gasoline prices in the United States have climbed close to four dollars per gallon, a significant increase attributed to escalating tensions in the Strait of Hormuz and disruptions to shipping following U.S. actions against Iran.

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, data released by Mehr News Agency, citing Al Jazeera, indicates that the American Automobile Association has reported a continued rise in gasoline prices, with the cost per gallon nearing four dollars.

The report attributes the notable and renewed surge in U.S. gasoline prices to tensions in the Strait of Hormuz and the subsequent disruption to maritime traffic resulting from U.S. aggressions against Iran.

Furthermore, reports suggest that U.S. crude oil futures have risen by more than three percent, surpassing $81 per barrel, marking the highest level since mid-June.

Earlier today, the Russian Foreign Minister had warned that the ongoing crisis in the Strait of Hormuz would negatively impact the global economy.
