Kremlin Welcomes Potential Meeting Between Lavrov and Rubio, Cites No Recent Direct US Contact

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Dmitry Peskov, spokesperson for the Russian Presidential Administration (Kremlin), announced on Monday that no direct contacts have been made with representatives of the United States in recent days. Technical communication channels between Moscow and Washington are reportedly active through diplomatic bodies.
The statement released by the Kremlin spokesperson indicated enthusiasm for a potential meeting between Lavrov and Rubio. Russia expressed readiness to engage in dialogue with European countries and asserted that it has never initiated a reduction in bilateral relations.
The Kremlin further added that any resumption of dialogue would take into account the experiences gained in relations with Europe. The statement also noted that Berlin has not taken any practical steps to establish relations with Moscow, with discussed issues primarily being of a media nature.
