US Defense Secretary Demands Emergency Funds, Reaffirms ‘Peace Through Strength’ Doctrine

U.S. Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth has requested expedited approval of supplementary funding for the Pentagon, reiterating the Trump administration’s ‘peace through strength’ policy. The call for emergency funds aims to address immediate needs of the armed forces.

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, U.S. Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth, echoing the former Donald Trump administration’s policy of pursuing “peace through strength,” has called for the immediate approval of supplementary budget for the Pentagon. Hegseth asserted that the request for additional funding for the U.S. Department of Defense is an urgent and necessary measure to meet the immediate requirements of the country’s armed forces.

The U.S. Defense Secretary further claimed that this supplementary budget is not a substitute for the Trump administration’s $1.5 trillion budget request, but rather a separate request to address the Pentagon’s urgent needs. These statements come as the U.S. administration, while emphasizing its “peace through strength” assertion, is seeking a significant increase in its military budget and strengthening its military capabilities in various regions around the world.
