Iraqi Resistance Backs Yemen’s Strategy on Bab al-Mandab Strait Closure

The Secretary-General of Iraq’s Kata’ib Sayyid al-Shuhada’ has declared support for Yemen’s strategic stance on closing the Bab al-Mandab Strait, emphasizing the region’s geopolitical leverage in global trade. He warned that increasing pressure on Yemen would result in the tightening of the strait’s passage.

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Abu al-Alaa al-Walai, Secretary-General of Iraq‘s Kata’ib Sayyid al-Shuhada’, stated on Twitter that the concept of deterrence is not limited to nuclear weapons. He asserted that God has bestowed upon the region’s nations a geographical advantage that grants them unparalleled influence over vital global trade arteries.

Al-Walai elaborated that if all avenues of survival are blocked for the Yemeni people, they possess the right to close the Bab al-Mandab Strait, ensuring the world hears their plight rather than succumbing to silence. He addressed the Saudi aggressors directly, stating: “End the siege of Yemen, and the strait will remain open for you. If you increase pressure on Yemen, the path through this strait will narrow for you as well.”
