Bulgarian Protesters Oppose U.S. Military Aircraft Deployment

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, around 150 people assembled to protest the deployment of eight American aircraft and 250 military personnel at the Bezmer Air Base near Yambol, Bulgaria. The KC-135 aircraft are intended for aerial refueling operations in support of U.S. military actions against Iran. Protesters voiced concerns that the air base could become a military target for Iran. This development follows previous statements from the Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, with a spokesperson reacting to remarks by the Bulgarian Prime Minister regarding the U.S. request to station military aircraft in the country for actions against Iran. The spokesperson emphasized that the Bulgarian government is well aware of the illegality of U.S. attacks against Iran and the clear violation of the UN Charter. The diplomatic spokesperson further stated that any participation in the preparation or execution of such attacks would be considered complicity in the crime of aggression and war crimes.
