This measure stems from the rapid depletion of the nation’s air defense stockpiles.

New directives from American commanders now permit air defense systems to engage only when there is a direct threat to U.S. military personnel or exceptionally vital critical facilities. These reports indicate that in instances where attacks have targeted locations without American forces present, U.S. air defenses have refrained from engagement to conserve expensive missile inventory.

Concurrently, The New York Times has reported that President Donald Trump has decided to postpone major offensive operations. This decision is reportedly driven by concerns over the complete depletion of Patriot missile arsenals in the region, following explicit warnings from U.S. Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Gen. Dan Kinkade, about critical levels of weapons reserves.
